Consumer & Market Knowledge Manager - Kenya


Understanding the consumer and the market is pivotal to our business and at Procter & Gamble, Consumer & Market Research is at the centre of all major product and marketing decisions and consequently is involved where "all the action is". Rather than being an in-house research agency, we prefer to focus on generating knowledge of our market and consumers. Consequently the Market Research Department is called Consumer & Market Knowledge (CMK).

As a Consumer & Market Researcher at P&G you work closely with product development; brand managers and sales managers looking for opportunities to maximize growth based upon your knowledge of the market and its consumers, giving valued involvement at a strategic level. The Associate Manager develops and applies innovative research approaches and analyses to gain a thorough understanding of the market, its opportunities and its consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all market research and consumer understanding work for the Kenyan market; representing the voice of the consumer,
  • Liaise with Brand and Sales teams to ensure relevant market/consumer insights are included as part of business plans,
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and the economy to guide corporate and brand specific choices for the Kenyan business,
  • Partner with regional Consumer and Market Knowledge teams to ensure adequate support is provided to the Kenyan business from the region.


  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the area of Consumer and Market research (Agency experience a plus)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, and command over handling large amounts of data, converting insights to action
  • Experience of designing and executing market/consumer/customer researches
