Engineering - Electrical & Control Systems Project Engineer in Belgium (m/f)

Description
As P&G Engineers, we are responsible for inventing, reapplying and developing technologies required to support the production process of our world class consumer products. We are also managing the company's multimillion dollar capital investments. To sustain our leading position in an increasingly innovative environment, our fully automated plants are constantly renewed based on in-house technology developments and use of the most advanced technologies.

You will typically start as a Technical Engineer, with specific responsibilities on a key project that will involve part or all of the following, depending on the size and complexity of the project: Define and evaluate technical options for achieving business objectives. Study technical feasibility and capital cost of proposed changes. Prepare a design basis for the project, based on engineering studies, high end computer modeling and simulation, economic evaluations and consultations with Manufacturing, Research & Development and other contributing groups. Simulate, develop and supply new equipment. Specify and conduct acceptance tests on equipment purchased from vendors. Verify new equipment and systems, including the design and management of testing procedures based on statistical techniques. Lead new equipment start-ups in the production plants and train the production teams. Solve equipment problems working closely with production staff on new or existing operations. You will also do the detailed planning for your project. More specifically, As a Control System Engineers you will be developing innovative automation systems, control information networks, vision and robotic systems which deliver superior and highly efficient production systems. Engineers in this field leverage mechatronics and process dynamic simulation tools and also create industrial software solutions to enable efficient production.

Qualifications
• Minimum of newly graduate from a master in electrical or mechatronics Engineering with good academic results and a maximum of 3 years previous work experience
• Fluent in English & hold EU residence or valid EU visa or work permit
• Excellent communication & leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• Willingness to take on responsibility
• High level of own initiative, very autonomous way of working
• Interest in developing into an international career
• Define Technology standards – screen for new technologies
• Define process inputs, requirements and system outputs
• Define based on business need the right architecture for applications, data & technology
• System knowledge: SAP; Big Data Historians, Visualization and Virtualization
• Manufacturing Control Systems: Rockwell Controllers, HMIs, Vision Systems, Field Instrumentation, Control Systems Data Model, Recipe Management
• Data Systems & Networks: ISA-95 and ISA-99 Enterprise and Mfg Control Systems Frameworks, Servers, Routers, Switches, NATs, Virtual Machines and Cyber Security considerations
• Additionally, given the trend of the industry, an experience and/or an interest in computer aided engineering will be considered as an asset.
